What is a "contract agent"?
Contract sales agents, or any other type of contracted agent, is, essentially self employed, working for themselves, building their own business, based on a mutually beneficial contractual agreement with an outside company. The agent carries a significantly higher level of risk exposure than the standard "employee", and reaps a significantly higher reward from their efforts and acceptance of risk. This is the classic risk -vs- reward scenario..
What are contractor "Pros & Cons"?
Please note, this is a very subjective area. What one may see as a pro, another may see as a con, and vice versa. Our goal here is to give folks accurate information to make decisions.
Honest Self Assessment!
We want very much for YOU, and all our agents, to be successful! We strongly believe we have a winning team with a brilliant, successful formula, and we want YOU to be a part of it! We believe in YOU, and we know that PEOPLE are the most important part of who we are. At the same time, we know this is not "for everybody". This is not one of those "everybody will be good at" things. We want you on board, and we want you to swing for the fences! Before jumping in the batter's box, we'd like you to do a self assessment.
We'd like all our candidates to take a minute, or a day, and do a brutally honest SELF-ASSESSMENT of their motivation, drive, and attitude. We care almost nothing about history, background, education level, experience, and all that stuff typically used to evaluate, because we know attitude, motivation, and drive will determine weather someone will work through failure to earn success, or be satisfied with TEMPORARY setbacks and challenges. Please ask yourself these questions:
We ask you to do a "self assessment", because going out on one's own is scary. Those who love us and care about us, will often times be concerned for us and try to inject that fear into us. We call these folks, whom we love very much, as they are often friends, family and loved ones, "Dream Killers". "Dream Killers, we love you, but please keep your negativity to yourself! We are following our dreams here!" We seek wise counsel, ask for input, get advice, but when it comes to chasing our dream, we have to make that decision and go for it! |
